Job Title: IT Project Manager I

This person is responsible for the coordination and completion of projects within the information technology department and oversees all aspects of projects. Also, sets deadlines, assigns responsibilities, and monitors and summarizes progress of project performs a variety of tasks and leads and directs the work of others. In addition, works with business users and IT management to define project scope and requirement coordinates development of project plan, design, enduser training, and implementation tasks coordinates the efforts of assigned personnel to project ensures timely and accurate completion of all project deliverables acts as change agent to ensure that the impact of the project is analyzed, anticipated, and planned for ensures measurement of project success is determined up front and is met upon completion communicates project status regularly to appropriate individuals provides early notification of project issues and prepares reports for upper management regarding status of project. In addition, proactively anticipates potential project issues and actively works to ensure resolution of any major problems relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals a wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected holds postproject review to ensure successes and failures are noted, so that the project team and organization can learn from both maintains strong knowledge of companys business operations and builds and maintains working relationships with team members, vendors, and other departments involved in the projects. This person maintains close working relationships with IT managers continues education on new and emerging technologies in order to identify opportunities to improve IT environment and complies with policies, procedures, and standards defined by the IT department and company.
Required Skills : A Strong leader who can work with minimum supervision. Supervisory
and administrative skills including the ability to select, appraise, motivate, and develop
subordinates skills and abilities to provide business, technical and administrative
guidance for activities in defined scope of responsibilities a fouryear degree in
Computer Science or Business, or equivalent experience 2 to 4 years related experience in
IT including exposure to applications development and IT operations good technology
background in application systems development and technology a strong background in
project management methodologies and techniques, including project planning tools (e.g.
Microsoft Project) excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal
skills to interact effectively with endusers, peers, managers, and vendors.
Shift 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday
